High-Level Information:
The Amazon Ads API allows you to access various data related to advertising on Amazon. The integration focuses on pulling data for the following types of ads:
- Sponsored Products: Ads for individual product listings on Amazon, appearing in search results and on product detail pages.
- Sponsored Display: Ads that appear both on and off Amazon, targeting audiences with various options for product discovery and retargeting.
- Sponsored Brands: Ads featuring your brand logo, a custom headline, and multiple products, designed to drive brand discovery and consideration.
Source Setup Guide
Step 1
Select your Region from the dropdown. Amazon Ads operates in different regional marketplaces, and the connector uses the selected region to choose the correct API base URL:
- North America (NA): United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil
- Europe (EU): United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Belgium, Turkey
- Far East (FE): Japan, Australia, Singapore, India
Note: Region is required to connect.
Step 2
Click in the Edit Source form to the left.
Step 3
Follow the authentication flow (OAuth) on Amazon's website to grant Extract the required permissions.
Step 4
Ensure that your email is visible, and verify that the source status is Connected.
Connection Setup Guide
Once you connected Amazon Ads to a destination, you will also need to configure:
- Connection Pull Schedule: Determines how frequently data is extracted from the source.
- Backfill (Days): Specifies the duration for which historical data will be retrieved during each connection run.
- Profiles Whitelist: Select specific advertising profiles to sync, or all of them.
- Destination specific settings: Different settings such as "Dataset Name" or "Target Schema" (depending on your destination).
- Schema Migration Policy: Controls how Extract will handle schema changes from the source.
