API Documentation: Huawei AppGallery Connect API

High-Level Information:

The Huawei AppGallery Connect API allows you to access and manage various performance data for your apps listed on the Huawei AppGallery. The integration focuses on pulling data for the following types of reports:

  1. Sales and Revenue Reports: These reports provide detailed information about app sales and revenue, including the number of transactions, total earnings, and payment breakdowns. This data helps you analyze your app's financial performance and optimize monetization strategies.
  2. Download and Installation Reports: These reports offer insights into app download performance, including metrics such as download counts, installation success rates, and user retention. Understanding this data can help you track the popularity of your apps and identify trends.
  3. User Engagement and Retention Reports: These reports give you detailed data on user engagement, including metrics like active users, session duration, frequency of use, and retention rates. This data is valuable for improving user experience and maximizing engagement with your apps.

Source Setup Guide

To connect Huawei Store to Extract, you will need to provide a Huawei AppGallery Connect API Client ID and Key.

  1. Log in to the Huawei Developer Platform with an Admin account.

  2. In AppGallery Connect, open the services menu and go to Connect API. On the Connect API page, open the API client tab.

  3. If an API Client already exists, verify that it has:

    • Project set to N/A
    • Roles set to Administrator
  4. If the existing API Client does not have Project set to N/A and Roles set to Administrator, create a new API Client following Huawei's API documentation. Set Project to N/A and select the Administrator role. If Huawei shows App administrator as a separate role, select it as well.

  5. After the API Client is created, copy the Client ID and Key from the client information list into the Extract setup form.
