API Documentation: Huawei AppGallery Connect API
High-Level Information:
The Huawei AppGallery Connect API allows you to access and manage various performance data for your apps listed on the Huawei AppGallery. The integration focuses on pulling data for the following types of reports:
- Sales and Revenue Reports: These reports provide detailed information about app sales and revenue, including the number of transactions, total earnings, and payment breakdowns. This data helps you analyze your app's financial performance and optimize monetization strategies.
- Download and Installation Reports: These reports offer insights into app download performance, including metrics such as download counts, installation success rates, and user retention. Understanding this data can help you track the popularity of your apps and identify trends.
- User Engagement and Retention Reports: These reports give you detailed data on user engagement, including metrics like active users, session duration, frequency of use, and retention rates. This data is valuable for improving user experience and maximizing engagement with your apps.
Source Setup Guide
To connect Huawei Store to Extract, you will need to provide a Huawei AppGallery Connect API Client ID and Key.

Log in to the Huawei Developer Platform with an Admin account.

In AppGallery Connect, open the services menu and go to Connect API. On the Connect API page, open the API client tab.

If an API Client already exists, verify that it has:
- Project set to
N/A - Roles set to
Administrator
- Project set to

If the existing API Client does not have Project set to
N/Aand Roles set toAdministrator, create a new API Client following Huawei's API documentation. Set Project toN/Aand select theAdministratorrole. If Huawei showsApp administratoras a separate role, select it as well. -
After the API Client is created, copy the Client ID and Key from the client information list into the Extract setup form.
Connection Setup Guide
Once you conneted Huawei to a destination, you will also need to configure:
- Connection Pull Schedule: Determines how frequently data is extracted from the source.
- Backfill (Days): Specifies the duration for which historical data will be retrieved during each connection run.
- Destination specific settings: different settings such as "Dataset Name" or "Target Schema" (depanding on your destination)
- Schema Migration Policy: Controls how Extract will handle schema changes from the sourcee source.
