API Documentation: Linkedin Ad Analytics API Documentation

High-Level Information:

The LinkedIn Ads Reporting API allows you to access and manage data related to your advertising campaigns on LinkedIn

Overview

The LinkedIn Ads connector lets you sync reporting data from your LinkedIn Ads account into your destination for analysis and attribution.

Use this source to pull standard LinkedIn Ads entities and performance metrics (for example, accounts, campaigns, creatives, and related insights) so you can build dashboards, monitor spend, and measure results over time.

Authentication

To authenticate the LinkedIn Ads source, connect using OAuth with a LinkedIn account that has access to the ad accounts you want to sync.

During setup, you’ll be prompted to:

  1. Sign in to LinkedIn and approve the requested permissions.
  2. Select the ad account(s) you want to grant access to.

After authorization completes, the connector stores an access token and uses it to fetch data from the LinkedIn Ads APIs. If your LinkedIn session expires or access is revoked, re-authenticate the connection to restore access.

Connection Setup Guide

After you connect LinkedIn Ads to a destination, configure the connection settings:

  • Connection Pull Schedule: How frequently Extract pulls data from LinkedIn Ads.
  • Backfill (Days): How many days of historical data to retrieve on each run.
  • Destination-specific settings: Settings such as Dataset Name or Target Schema (varies by destination).
  • Schema Migration Policy: How Extract handles schema changes from the source.

Configuration

To configure the LinkedIn Ads connector, provide the following:

  • Token: Authenticate with LinkedIn using OAuth and grant access to the ad accounts you want to sync.
  • Ad account (account_id): Select the LinkedIn Ad Account to use. After authentication, the connector will list the ad accounts available to the authenticated user.
  • Conversion (conversion_id): Select the conversion rule to use. This list is populated after you select an ad account and includes enabled conversion rules for that account.
