High-Level Information:
The Snapchat Ads API allows you to access various data related to your advertising campaigns on Snapchat. The integration focuses on pulling data for the following types of reports:
- Campaign Performance Reports: These reports provide detailed information about the performance of your ad campaigns on Snapchat, including metrics such as impressions, clicks, conversions, and spend. This data helps you evaluate the effectiveness of your campaigns and optimize their performance.
- Ad Set and Creative Reports: These reports offer insights into the performance of individual ad sets and creative assets, such as video ads, filters, and lenses. Metrics include engagement rates, swipe-ups, and completion rates, which are crucial for optimizing ad creative and targeting.
Source Setup Guide
Step 1
Click the Connect button under Source Settings in the setup page.
Step 2
Follow the authentication flow (OAuth) in Snapchat to grant Singular the required permissions.
Step 3
Confirm you can see your email and profile picture, and that the source is Connected.
Connection Setup Guide
Once you connected Snapchat to a destination, you will also need to configure:
- Connection Pull Schedule: Determines how frequently data is extracted from the source.
- Backfill (Days): Specifies the duration for which historical data will be retrieved during each connection run.
- Accounts Whitelist: Select specific ad accounts to sync, or all of them.
- Destination-specific settings: Settings such as Dataset Name or Target Schema (depending on your destination).
- Schema Migration Policy: Controls how Singular will handle schema changes from the source.
If you are sending events via Conversions API and set event_conversion_type to MOBILE_APP, you must also provide both app_id and snap_app_id for each event.
