High-Level Information:
The Samsung Galaxy Store Statistics API allows you to access various data related to your app performance on the Samsung Galaxy Store. The integration focuses on pulling data for the following types of reports:
- Sales Reports: These reports provide detailed information about app sales, including purchase date, item type, units sold, and revenue. This data helps you analyze the sales performance of your apps and identify trends.
- Downloads Reports: These reports offer insights into app downloads, including metrics such as download counts, install counts, and active users. Understanding this data can help you track the popularity and reach of your apps.
- User Engagement Reports: These reports give you detailed data on user engagement with your apps, including metrics like session duration, frequency of use, and retention rates. This information is valuable for improving user experience and increasing app engagement.
Source Setup Guide
To connect Amazon Store to Extract, you will need to provide service account id and service account private key.
- Follow the API documentation steps: a. Create a service account using your Seller Portal b. Within the Service Account window, enable the Galaxy Store Statistics (GSS) metrics c. From the Service account created window, click Download Key to save the private key, you will need this when you will set up the source. Note - The private key is NOT stored in the Seller Portal. After you close this window, you will not be able to display it again.
- After creating an account, copy the Service Account ID.
Once you have completed these steps, insert your Service Account ID and Service Account key into the setup form.
Connection Setup Guide
Once you conneted Galaxy Store to a destination, you will also need to configure:
- Connection Pull Schedule: Determines how frequently data is extracted from the source.
- Backfill (Days): Specifies the duration for which historical data will be retrieved during each connection run.
- Destination specific settings: different settings such as "Dataset Name" or "Target Schema" (depanding on your destination)
- Schema Migration Policy: Controls how Extract will handle schema changes from the sourcee source.
Connector Information
The Galaxy Store Statistics (GSS) metrics API provides 2 types of reports
- Content metrics: Provides statistics per app.
- Seller metrics: Provides aggregated metrics for all apps.
Note - the Galaxy Store Statistics (GSS) metrics API allows only 1 breakdown at a time, therefore statistics are reported in country OR device breakdowns. Full documentation including field description can be found here.
