High-Level Information:
The Amazon Appstore Reporting API allows you to access various data related to app sales and subscriptions on the Amazon Appstore. The integration focuses on pulling data for the following types of reports:
- Sales Reports: These reports provide detailed information about app sales, including purchase date, item type, and revenue.
- Subscription Reports: These reports provide detailed information about app subscriptions, including subscription start date, end date, and renewal status.
Source Setup Guide
To connect Amazon Store to Extract, you will need to provide client id & secret.
- Follow the API Documentation steps:
- Create a security profile using your your Amazon Developer Console account (make sure it’s created under the Reporting API)
- Save your Client ID and Client Secret (from the Web Settings tab)
- Map the security profile to the API
Once you have completed these steps, insert your Client ID and Client Secret into the setup form and click "Save".
Connection Setup Guide
Once you conneted Amazon store to a destination, you will also need to configure:
- Connection Pull Schedule: Determines how frequently data is extracted from the source.
- Backfill (Days): Specifies the duration for which historical data will be retrieved during each connection run.
- Destination specific settings: different settings such as "Dataset Name" or "Target Schema" (depanding on your destination)
- Schema Migration Policy: Controls how Extract will handle schema changes from the sourcee source.
